Sierra Leone’s best betting company Mercury International has launched a promotional raffle offering six major prizes with a combined value of $120,000.
The promotion, launched on 24 August at Gigibonta on Lumley Beach Road in Freetown, consists of separate raffles for its Vegas games and sports betting customers.
Mercury International Managing Director Martin E Michael said the company wanted to offer larger prizes ahead of the Christmas and New Year period.
“We have just concluded our last launch where we gave out a house, and now, as we approach the Christmas season, we are back again with even bigger rewards,” he said.
The Vegas Game Raffle offers three main prizes: a Jetour TI 2026 model car, an automatic scooter and an 85-inch smart television.
The company said customers using its sports betting service would be eligible for a separate raffle, with prizes including a two-bedroom house at Taff Salone, a TVS tricycle, commonly known as a kekeh, and a Lifan motorbike.
Mercury’s Deputy Online Manager, Octavus Jackson, said customers must first create an online account to participate.
He said customers need to accumulate betting tickets worth NLe250 to qualify for a Vegas Raffle ticket, while NLe50 in accumulated bets is required for a Sports Raffle ticket.
“Everyone playing is a winner. We are generous in giving out bonuses,” Mr. Jackson said.
The company’s public relations manager, Alhaji Komba, said the promotion was intended to give customers an opportunity to win significant prizes.
The two raffles will run from 24 August 2026 until 3 January 2027, with the prizes due to be handed over in January.
Mercury International is one of Sierra Leone’s established betting companies and operates both sports betting and online gaming services.
