Waterloo FC departs for Liberia, prepares for WAFA Division One competition

Waterloo FC, the newly promoted team in the WAFA Division One competition, is gearing up for the upcoming season by engaging in international friendly matches.

Today, Tuesday, 11th March, the team has departed Sierra Leone for a series of matches against four Liberian clubs: LICER FC, GLOBAL PHARMA FC, FREEPORT FC, and BLACKMAN WARRIORS FC, as well as DISCOVERIES SA.

The delegation consists of 36 members, including 22 players, led by Head Coach Jespark and his support staff. The CEO of Waterloo FC, Mr. Mohamed Bello Yilllah, is heading the delegation alongside Mr. Charles Chelsea Jones, Head of Media for the Western Area Rural District Football Association.

Chairman Kebbie Sesay and the dedicated executives of the Western Area Rural District Football Association are committed to ensuring fairness and equality for both teams on and off the pitch.

Over a four-day period, the intensive friendly matches will take place at various locations throughout Monrovia. The team is scheduled to return on Friday, 14th March 2025. These games aim to enhance player confidence and prepare Waterloo FC for the opening of the Division One season.
