“Following the fire incident on Sunday, 28th April, 2024, at the Western Area Rural District Health Medical Team Office in Waterloo, an investigation has been initiated by the Western Area Rural District Council,” a statement from their press department has stated.
The statement issues that “initial report from the DHMT indicates the blaze destroyed essential drugs, air conditioners, motorbikes, and solar panels.”
“The investigation committee, headed by Deputy Chairman Robert Browne, includes members of the WARDC Health Committee, Civil Society representatives, the Media, and the general public. The committee has already held a preliminary engagement with the DHMT staff, including the District Medical Officer.”
