Sierra Leoneans with passport can now travel to 43 countries without a visa.
Countries in the Americas include the Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Ecuador, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago.
In Africa, Sierra Leoneans can visit Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Eswatini, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Mauritius, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Togo and Uganda without a visa.
In Asia, Sierra Leoneans can visit Bangladesh, Malaysia, and Singapore without visa. Pacific island nations like Fiji, Kiribati, Micronesia and Vanuatu are also open to Sierra Leone passport holders.
This development is expected to facilitate greater connectivity and cooperation between Sierra Leone and these countries, enhancing tourism, trade and bilateral relations.
Travelers from Sierra Leone can now enjoy the ease of movement without the administrative burden of securing a visa in advance, making it simpler to plan spontaneous trips and business ventures.
