Sierra Leone’s leading sports betting and lottery company, Mercury International, continues its unmatched tradition of rewarding loyal customers through exciting promotions.
As part of its Exclusive Festival Promotion, the company’s Online Department presented the star prize—an all-expense-paid trip to Nairobi, Kenya—to lucky winner Solomon Davies.
Davies, an employee at the Sierra Leone International Airport, will enjoy a five-day fully sponsored trip to Kenya, including full accommodation and a sightseeing tour.
The young winner, who revealed he has been playing Mercury games for over five years, admitted he was shocked and overwhelmed when informed that he had emerged as the grand prize winner, after being randomly selected by Mercury International’s service providers and partners in the UK.
“Despite my initial shock, I later felt truly blessed,” Davies said. “To be contacted among millions of players is not only a blessing but also a clear sign of the company’s transparency. I know many people play more than I do, but I was fortunate to win. This will be my first time traveling outside Sierra Leone, and I am very grateful to Mercury International for this opportunity.”
Davies also encouraged other customers to remain loyal to Mercury International, describing the company as “reliable and trustworthy.”
Mercury International Online Department Deputy Manager Octavus Jackson, speaking during the presentation, expressed his delight at giving another Sierra Leonean the opportunity to travel abroad for the first time through Mercury’s promotions.
“The idea behind this promotion was to give customers an experience beyond material prizes,” Jackson explained. “Not everyone has the chance to travel outside Sierra Leone, so we wanted to create an opportunity for our customers to explore and experience life elsewhere.”
Jackson revealed that the Exclusive Festival Promotion, which ran from May to July 2025, was designed to keep customers engaged during the football off-season. Unlike previous promotions that required qualifying through a single game, this promotion allowed participation through both sports betting and Vegas (casino) games.
To earn a raffle ticket, customers were required to spend at least NLe 20 daily on sports betting or achieve a NLe 500 turnover on Vegas games. Winners were then randomly selected by Mercury’s UK-based service providers.
The company’s Deputy Public Relations Manager, Sahr Morris Jr., congratulated Mr. Davies on his win and encouraged customers to continue embracing Mercury International’s wide range of products and services.
