Ibrahim Kamara scores twice as Lamboi FC astounds Old Edwardians

Ibrahim Kamara took his Premier League seasonal goal tally to 14 as Lamboi FC beat Old Edwardians 2-0 at the Lungi Playing Field to boost survival hopes.

Kamara’s curtain raiser came in the 40th minute while his brace 12 minutes later to help his team move up to eleventh, safely from the relegation battle with four games to go.

Old Edwardians remain ninth with thirty-seven points after losing their tenth match of the season (W9, D10).

Meanwhile, there was drama at Parade Field where East End Tigers’ Coach Musa Jalloh and player George Kai were sent off in their 1-1 draw with Freetonians SLIFA.

Musa Kallon scored for Tigers in the 32nd minute, but Mohamed Sesay leveled for the Eagles in the second half to keep the Yellow Submarines in the drop zone.

In Port Loko, Bai Bureh Warriors beat Freetown City 1-0 courtesy of Mohamed Kanu’s 83rd minute goal while bottom side Wilberforce Strikers also beat FC Johansen 1-0 after Bundu scored from the penalty spot.
