Former Deputy Minister of Health, Education and Lands, Mahmoud Tarawalie is currently at Criminal Investigations (CID) Headquarters for questioning over an alleged incitement and prejudice of the Tripartite Committee Report in a audio he released on social media few days ago.
In his audio the former deputy minister is alleged to have called on his APC members and supporters to take the bull by the horn in letting the world know that they will not accept any outcome from the Tripartite Committee other than a rerun of the June 24, 2023, Presidential Election.
He went on to insist that President Bio never won the 2023 Presidential Election for which the only report they as a party should accept from the Tripartite Committee is a rerun and nothing else.
“The US Ambassador has preempted, so we must also preempt, it’s not tomorrow, not next tomorrow but now,”he said.
Mahmoud’s utterances on social media have the tenancy of plunging the country into chaos and threat to security should authorities concerns failed to take necessary actions now.
It is on this backdrop the SLP with mandate to maintain peace and tranquility has summoned Tarawalie for clarification.
