Football star declared wanted by Sierra Leone Police

The Sierra Leone Police has declared wanted Umarr Kabba, a former football star of both Rural FC and FC Johansen in Sierra Leone.

According to a press release issued by the Police on 15th August, 2022, “the warrant of arrest has been issued by a magistrate court in Freetown.”

The release states that Umarr Kabba “is wanted by the police to help in the investigation of the ugly situation surrounding the unfortunate incident that occurred on the 10th of August, 2022, in the city of Waterloo and the country as a whole.”

Umarr stands accused of assault, destruction of properties, and perpetration of violence that led to the death of two police officers within the Waterloo community.

He has also been charged with conspiracy to destabilize the peace of the country.

The whereabout of Umarr remains unknown. Family sources are fearful that he might have been mysteriously killed and buried somewhere in the country.

However, the Police has placed a  handsome reward of ten million leones (Le 10,000,000) for anyone who provides information leading to the arrest of Umar Kabba.
