The Engineer SIDIPA’s Twenty Thousand Leones (20,000Nle) Football Competition reached a thrilling conclusion on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 (Christmas Day), featuring a high-stakes final match between Gbasan Road FC and Under the Light FC.
Sponsored by Engineer Abu Bakarr Sankoh, known as Manager SIDIPA, this event unified the community in a powerful celebration of sportsmanship and youth empowerment in the Western Area Rural District.
As YOUTH from the four corners of Waterloo graced the final at BASSA TOWN which is the Heartbeat of Waterloo, Jam-packed with spectators and football-loving fans celebrating Christmas Day (December 25th) in a grand style with ING ABUBAKARR SIDIQUE SANKOH whom they have dubbed as the “YOUTH DEM PADI” as he is always there supporting and promoting SLPP and Propagating President Bio’s Big Five Game Changer via diverse developmental initiatives.
The eagerly anticipated final ended in a gripping goalless draw after full-time, leading to a dramatic penalty shootout. Gbasan Road FC showcased remarkable composure under pressure, seizing victory amid the thunderous cheers from their supporters.
The CHAMPIONS not only took home the coveted victory but also received a substantial cash prize along with brand-new trophies and thirty-two silver and golden medals, a testament to their dedication and hard work.
