John Konteh, Africell’s Media Manager, has announced the signing of a digital marketing partnership between AfricellSL and the Sierra Leone Promoters’ Union.
This followed the conclusion of a two-month Digital Marketing Training conducted by Africell Impact Foundation.
“This collaboration aims to strengthen our relationship and will involve 15 bloggers and influencers becoming brand affiliates,” a statement from the company’s media team has read.
The certification ceremony of the said training was held at the Africell Sierra Leone HQ and was chaired by Nancy L. Toure, the Event and CSR Manager.
During his submission, Kamanda Koroma, Head of Digital Marketing at #AfricellSL, highlighted the importance of digital marketing skills in today’s competitive landscape. The initiative, he said, was aimed at “equipping young individuals with the knowledge, skills and strategies to excel in digital marketing, contributing to their communities and the country’s economic growth.”
Joe Abass Bangura, the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, stated that out of the 40 individuals targeted for training, 32 enrolled. After impressive dedication during the course, 29 individuals successfully completed the program and were certified. He emphasized the significance of digital marketing skills in today’s business world, empowering and enabling individuals to enhance their social media approach and improve their business models.
Beneficiaries Adel C. Jusu and Samuel Tholley expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Africell Impact Foundation and their tutors. They described the training as “vital and perfectly timed, emphasizing the undeniable importance of digital marketing.”
