Mercury International lotto winner Ibrahim Massaquoi has made no secret of his excitement after winning NLe82,800 (eighty-two million, eight hundred old Leones) in last Sunday’s ‘Dove Court Special Draw’ Lotto.

The Kenema resident was all smiles as he received his winning prize after staking just NLe20 on the popular Balls 12-21 game.

Massaquoi was among 3,904 customers who won in the draw, with the winning numbers being 12-51-75-20-21, Extra 6 & 7 (79-35).

Speaking after receiving his prize, the businessman said he was proud to have won through Mercury International once again, while encouraging the public to participate in the company’s various draws.

“Indeed, Mercury International is a company that helps to reduce the poverty rate in many homes in Sierra Leone,” Massaquoi said.

He acknowledged that some people, including religious leaders, have criticised betting activities, but maintained that Mercury International has helped many people, particularly young people, amid the country’s current economic challenges.

“Mercury International helps to reduce the poverty rate in many homes, even though others are against it, especially our religious leaders,” he said.

“I want to encourage everyone, especially the youth, to take part and have a chance of winning,” he added.

Massaquoi thanked the management and staff of Mercury International for their efforts and encouraged other customers to participate in the company’s various draws.

He revealed that he has been playing Mercury International betting games for more than six years.
