WHAT THIS DAY REPRESENTS 

THIS DAY SALONE is an impartial newspaper in Sierra Leone, established for the purpose of providing balanced coverage of news, and events, and promoting the best interests of Sierra Leone. It holds no loyalty to any political parties, ethnicities, religious or other interest groups. Its principal commitment is to the integrity and sovereignty of Sierra Leone, and beyond that to the unity and sovereignty of Africa.

It is a liberal newspaper, committed to the best traditions and ideals of democracy. It believes that it is the responsibility of the state not only to protect and defend its citizens but equally to create the conditions, political, social, economic, and cultural, in which all citizens may achieve their highest potential as human beings.

It is committed to the principle of individual freedom but believes that all citizens have duties as well as rights. This Day will at all times uphold the need for justice, probity in public life, equal access to the nation’s resources, and equal protection under the laws of Sierra Leone for all citizens.
