Africell Sierra Leone has reaffirmed its commitment to delivering exceptional telecommunications and mobile financial services to communities in the southern and eastern regions, following a high-level visit by senior leadership to Bo and Kenema.
Speaking during the tour, the Chief Executive Officer of Africell Sierra Leone, Mr. Shadi Gerjawi, emphasized the company’s strong and longstanding relationship with the people of the south and east. He said Africell remains dedicated to ensuring high-quality service delivery for residents of Bo, Kenema, and the country at large.
Mr. Gerjawi noted that the visit was a deliberate step to deepen engagement with both staff and customers in the regions.
“Our goal is to listen, understand, and react to the feedback from our people,” he said. “We want to ensure that our customers and staff enjoy better conditions and improved services.”
He encouraged customers to continue sharing their concerns and suggestions, stressing that public feedback remains central to Africell’s growth.
“Africell values the people of the southern region deeply. That is why I always make it a point to come personally and ensure that their concerns are addressed,” he added.
Meanwhile, the CEO of Afrimoney, Mr. Martison Obeng-Agyei, highlighted Afrimoney’s mission to expand digital financial inclusion across Sierra Leone, regardless of location. He said the company continues to simplify financial transactions nationwide — citing the recent improvements that now allow students of Njala University to conveniently pay their fees using Afrimoney.
Mr. Obeng-Agyei said the visit to Bo and Kenema aimed to strengthen direct interaction with customers and agents, ensuring that services remain accessible, reliable, and responsive to community needs. He also mentioned an ongoing Afrimoney promotion giving agents the chance to win millions of Leones simply by performing regular transactions.
