Africell Sierra Leone has awarded a total of NLe 100,000 to four monthly winners in its ongoing “Win Kopo” promotion. The presentation took place on Tuesday, 25 November 2025, at the company’s headquarters in Wilberforce, where each winner—Abdul Kamara, Abibatu Deen, Foday Kallon, and Michael Kargbo—received NLe 25,000.

Africell’s Media Manager, Abdul Karim Sesay, said the promotion reflects the company’s commitment to deepening community connections and creating opportunities for subscribers. He noted that the initiative aligns with Africell’s 25th anniversary celebrations and is designed not only to reward customers but also to engage and educate them. Sesay encouraged continued loyalty and reaffirmed Africell’s focus on inclusivity.

Assistant Media Manager, Abdul Aziz Kamara, provided an update on the promotion’s impact to date. He reported that Africell has produced 452 daily winners of NLe 250 (totalling NLe 113,000); 25 weekly winners of NLe 2,500 (totalling NLe 62,500); seven monthly winners of NLe 25,000 (totalling NLe 175,000); and two grand winners of NLe 250,000 (totalling NLe 500,000). In total, the promotion has recorded 486 winners with combined payouts amounting to NLe 850,000.

Africell’s Communication and Marketing Manager, Kamanda Koroma, said “Win Kopo” is part of a broader strategy to provide real value to customers and strengthen the company’s presence nationwide. He highlighted the ongoing “Jubilee Jumbo” promotion, featuring prizes such as an Okada, Samsung smartphones, cash rewards, a generator, and a fully furnished house as the grand prize. Koroma also spoke about Africell’s upcoming marathon—featuring 5km, 10km, and half-marathon categories—and announced that up to 200 more people are expected to win prizes in December. He assured the public that all Africell promotions remain credible and transparent.

Africell Events and CSR Manager, Nancy Toure, emphasized the company’s commitment to community support as it navigates the digital era. She described Africell subscribers as “one large family,” adding that initiatives like “Win Kopo” allow the company to show appreciation to its loyal customer base.

One of the winners, Abibatu Deen, expressed her excitement after receiving her prize, saying she had been an Africell subscriber for over 15 years without ever winning in previous promotions. “When I received the call telling me I had won, I was in disbelief,” she said. “Standing here today proves that Africell’s promotions are real. I am truly grateful, and I promise to be an ambassador for Africell by telling others that anyone can be a winner.”

The ceremony concluded with the official presentation of prizes and a renewed commitment from Africell to continue investing in customer welfare and nationwide connectivity.
