The National Revenue Authority (NRA), in partnership with Africell, has officially unveiled a striking new gateway arch at the Jendema Border Crossing Point, symbolizing a renewed spirit of collaboration, modernization, and national pride.
The newly constructed arch stands as a landmark of progress, improving the visibility of Sierra Leone’s western border with Liberia while underscoring the country’s commitment to efficient trade, tourism, and community development.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, Commissioner-General of the NRA, Mrs. Jeneba J. Bangura, praised Africell for its continuous partnership and contribution to national progress. She noted that such initiatives not only enhance the NRA’s image but also promote Sierra Leone’s vision of modernization and inclusivity.
“This gateway arch represents more than just infrastructure—it’s a symbol of partnership, pride, and progress,” Mrs. Bangura said. “Through collaborations like this, we are reinforcing the identity of Sierra Leone as a nation on the rise.”
Africell representatives also reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting government efforts that foster social and economic development across the country.
The Jendema gateway is expected to serve as both a welcoming landmark for travelers and a visible reminder of the country’s growing capacity for innovation and partnership.
