Last Thursday, the UN Country Team convened a
results validation workshop at the The Hub Hotel,
bringing together key representatives from UN agencies
across all Results Groups to review and refine progress
captured in the 2025 Mid-Year Report.
The workshop served as a pivotal moment to
ensure that outcomes and outputs are not only
evidence-based but also strategically aligned with
Sierra Leone’s United Nations Sustainable
Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF)
2025–2030—specifically its three pillars: Food
Systems, Natural Resource Management and
Climate Change; Human Capital, Essential
Services and Employment; and Governance and
Economic Transformation.

George Ameh, WHO Representative, highlighted
the need for positive collaboration at the session.
He urged agencies to prioritize impactful media
materials
over internal documentation to
effectively showcase the UN’s contributions to
Sierra Leone’s development.
“It’s not just about capturing results—it’s about
communicating them meaningfully to the public,
partners, and government,” he stated.
The workshop emphasised the importance of results
sharing for transparency, accountability, and joint learning.
By validating successes and pinpointing improvement
areas, it enhances inter-agency coordination and supports
the 2025 Annual Results Report (ARR). This alignment is
crucial for showcasing the UN’s value under the renewed
Cooperation Framework, focusing on national priorities
like inclusive governance, sustainable livelihoods, human
capital development, and environmental resilience
