Alhaji Komba wins SLPP’s chairmanship election

Alhaji Komba one of Sierra Leone’s finest media personalities, has commandingly won as the new chairman of the Central District for the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party, defeating his challenger, the incumbent Elder Nabieu by a landslide.


Alhaji Komba’s victory didn’t come as a surprise to many given his unflinching commitment and dedication to the SLPP and his people in general. He has referred to his victory as s ‘real test’ in his political journey.

The people did not hide their feelings to admit that they are thrilled by Komba’s development trajectory, which is why they said they ‘pushed’ him to contest for that covetous position.


The young ambitious politician has vowed to push SLPP’s aspirations in the district and promised to deliver come 2028 general elections.

According to Chairman Komba, it was because of diligent service to his people and district that made them to choose him to do more.


Komba said he wholeheartedly welcomed his people’s call because he is poised to serve them more by taking development to the four corners of the district especially youth and women’s empowerment among others.


Fortunately, his people didn’t disappoint him. The people insisted that they did not make any mistake to choose Alhaji Komba as their new chairman, stressing that they have trust and confidence in him that he will surely deliver. “He has sacrificed a lot for us as people and district,” they proudly stated, adding that they will continue to give him the required support.


Following his victory Chairman Komba thanked his supporters, party leadership and the entire membership for reposing confidence in him which undeniably culminated into his election as district Chairman.


He assured them all of his renewed commitment to the party, stressing that he will always live to their expectations.
